About MaksBuilder
HVAC Repairs and Installations, Based in Foothill Ranch
MaksBuilder is a California C-20 HVAC contractor based in Foothill Ranch. We repair, maintain and install air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps and ductless systems for homeowners across South Orange County.
For a new system, Maksym visits the property, reviews the existing equipment and installation conditions, and provides a written proposal with equipment options. MaksBuilder handles permits for system replacements.
On a repair visit, we check the components related to the complaint. If the cause is clear, we can discuss the repair; if it isn't, the next step is further testing—not a premature replacement quote.

Meet Maksym
Maksym handles free in-home estimates for new HVAC systems. He reviews the current equipment, ductwork, access and electrical requirements before discussing options that suit the property.
The written proposal describes the equipment choices, planned installation work and any additional changes the project may require. Each new system is sized using a Manual J load calculation.
- On-site assessment by Maksym
- Equipment options and written work scope
- Load calculation for the new system
- Permit handling for replacements and startup testing
What We Check Before Recommending HVAC Work
| What you notice | What we may check | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| AC runs but does not cool | Filter and airflow, electrical operation, coil condition and the refrigerant circuit | If the initial checks don't explain the problem, more refrigerant-circuit testing may be needed before recommending a major component replacement. |
| Upstairs stays hotter | Supply and return airflow, duct restrictions, insulation and system capacity | If the problem is in the ducts or return airflow, installing a larger AC unit alone may leave the temperature difference unchanged. |
| Furnace shuts down early | Ignition and flame sensing, airflow, high-temperature limits and thermostat operation | The shutdown sequence guides the repair. A safety control should not be bypassed to keep the furnace running. |
| You're replacing an aging system | Manual J load calculation, ductwork, electrical requirements and equipment clearances | The findings help determine equipment size and any ductwork or electrical changes to include in the written estimate. |
Depending on the findings, we'll discuss a repair, explain the additional testing needed or prepare a replacement estimate. For specific services, see AC repair, furnace repair and AC installation and replacement.
