Maintenance That Can Reduce Preventable Service Calls
Maintenance cannot prevent every board, sensor, motor, compressor, or refrigerant failure, but it can identify conditions that increase operating time or contribute to icing, drainage problems, weak airflow, and excessive electrical use.
Indoor equipment
Check the filter, blower compartment, indoor coil, condensate pan, drain line, wiring condition, temperature response, and accessible safety controls.
Outdoor equipment
Inspect the coil, fan, wiring, disconnect, cabinet condition, drainage around the unit, visible refrigerant-line damage, and operating condition in heating and cooling modes when weather and equipment controls allow.
